Keeping Track of 2012 :: Happy You + Video

Hello hello! It feels like it's been forever since I made a layout!
Soooo that's what I'm bringing you today!
I used the November Studio Calico kit with a few items from the October kit!

Here are the supplies I pulled
IMG_1645-001

And here is the process video :)

I love the white background paper! This was my first time using an embossed paper like this so I wanted to keep it on the simple side. I love the way  the glitter stars came out and they match perfectly with that piece of glitter paper I used! Here is a closer look at the finished layout!

Forever Red Exclusively at Bath & Body Works

And another post for today!
This post is highlighting my favorite product that I received from the Cosmo VoxBox.

Now remember, I received this product complimentary to test through Influenster's VoxBox program!
If you've read the review post then you know by now my favorite was the Forever Red perfume exclusively  from Bath & Body Works!!
forever red
Here is the product information!
Experience Our Most Luxurious Fragrance Ever!
Bath & Body Works' most luxurious longest lasting fragrance blends opulent noted of fiery red pomegranate and delicate peche de vigne, a rare and fleeting French peach. Soft petals of red osmanthus give way to notes of addictive velvety marshmallow and a surprising finale of rich vanilla rum that leaves an unforgettable impression.

Forever Red is available in:
Eau du Parfum
Fine Fragrance Mist
Rollerball & Lip Wand Duo
Shower Gel
Body Lotion
Triple Moisture Body Cream
Shimmer Mist
Golden Sugar Scrub

Alrighty then, more of my opinions on this product!
I'll start off by saying I am a huge Bath & Body Works fan/customer! I love how many varieties of scents they offer and that they carry an entire line for each scent so you don't have to mix it with other products.
I wasn't surprised when they came out with another awesome line (Forever Red). I was however surprised on how much I love this scent. I am picky about what I spray on myself since a lot of perfumes give me headaches from being to strong. Forever Red last long without being over powering when you wear it.
The scent is so warm and just yummy that it's perfect for the holidays however, I can see myself wearing this even in the hotter months. The packaging is cute and seriously.... if you have no idea what this smells like then you should go check it out!!

I normally wear body sprays during the day and perfumes when I know I'm going out for the night, but I find myself wearing this one during the day also since it's, once again, not over powering. The smell reminds me of something but I can not think of what it is!! The product description of the smells are dead on. You get such a great mix of everything and it goes together soooo nicely!!

If you aren't sure what to get that special someone this year (or just want to spoil yourself) then I would recommend Forever Red!
You can check out their products in a store near you or if you are daring enough and taking my word on it then you can visit their website to make the purchase! (Don't forget to sign up for exlusive coupons and offers)
***
Again, I am not being paid to talk about this product, I simply received it in my Cosmo VoxBox from Inflenster.com to test it out and to give my honest opinion! And I standby Forever Red because it's just straight up yummy goodness! I totally need to purchase the big bottle :)

Thank you for stopping by and again, have a great day!!

Influenster Cosmo VoxBox

Hey everyone! Today I want to talk to you about the Influenster VoxBox.
What is it you ask? Basically it's this website you can request an invite for to give honest opinions and reviews on products that you've tried. Once you earn enough points you may be one of the lucky ones to get selected to receive a box in the mail including products to try out for free!
Yes you receive the products for free, but NO you are not being paid to give fake reviews. This website cares about HONEST ratings and reviews so companies can find ways to improve their products. You can always get selected for more than one box as long as you stay loyal to the site and continue to do what is asked of you... give reviews. If they notice you try to just get stuff for free just for free stuff then you will not qualify for boxes anymore.

Why did I want to join Influenster?
I wanted to join because first off I can say I can be a little bit on the shopaholic side, so I can give reviews on the products that I've tried.
Another reason is because I notice myself always going back to the same products because I hate wasting my money on something new and end up hating it, so I guess I like to keep it safe. Influenster allows me to try products that I wouldn't have purchased otherwise! Plus, I love giving reviews and being able to help out companies and the people looking to make the purchase.

So that being said, I was approved for the Cosmo VoxBox since I mainly give reviews on beauty products!
Here is what I received in my box
voxbox

In this post I will be sharing the product details plus give you my review!
Here we go...

1. Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Sea Salt Escape: $2.79
The decadently rich and creamy milk chocolate in Sea Salt Escape is combined with bursts of sea salt and roasted almonds delivering an epicurean chocolate experience. Experience a moment of timeless pleasure with all natural Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Chocolate.

My Review:
This is the first time ever trying a sea salt chocolate. I can say it is okay. The salt is definitely random throughout a square which is okay. I think I would prefer it to be more even if you know what I mean. I do love other types of Ghirardelli chocolate but I guess I'm just not a fan of the sea salt and milk chocolate. I would like to try this in dark chocolate since I prefer that over milk. If you like sea salt, almonds and milk chocolate then I would suggest it for you. But for me personally I don't think I would go out of my way to purchase this.

2. FriXion by Pilot Pen: $4.50 for a 3-pack/ $11.00 for an 8-pack
FriXion writes unbelievably smooth, in expressive gel like colors, and erases completely with its rubber tip. FriXion is the newest innovation from Pilot, the #1 seller of gel ink pens in America.

My Review:
Okay, first let me give you my opinion on the way the pen looks... It looks like a boys pen that's for sure. So if myself (being a girl of course) were to go pen shopping, these ones wouldn't stand out to me because I like cute things of course lol. However, these pens do write very well and erase very well. The orange pen writes orange and the black pen writes black so that's not to hard to mess up either. I'm not exactly sure how many colors they have in this line, but if you go to school or like to color coordinate notes or anything like that then I would suggest these pens especially because they erase. I hate making mistakes and feeling like I want to start all over! So overall would I repurchase these if I really needed some pens? Yes, I would, and I would also recommend them!

3. Forever Red Eau de Parfume Exclusively at Bath & Body Works: $10.00 for .25 fl oz/7mL and $44.50 for full size
A touch of red is pure magic! Bath & Body Works introduces you to their new, most luxurious fragrance ever, as you lavishly spray on a passionate blend of pomegranate & red osmanthus with a sexy surprise of vanilla rum, for a forever enchanting way to fragrance.

My Review:
Okay, okay. I was stoked to have this in my box to be honest! I have checked out this fragrance in Bath & Body Works a couple of times actually. My issue is that I smell a ton of candles along with everything else when I go in that place that sometimes you don't get the full experience of a certain smell. This perfume is awesome! It reminds me of something, but I honestly have no idea what it is. The mini one is perfect for your purse and when I went out, I sprayed a ton of it on myself and it didn't use up half the bottle like I thought it would. So if you want to try this baby out but not spend 40 dollars then I would suggest trying the mini. It's worth the 10 dollars and who knows, might be on sale sometime. I am normally picky about what I spray on myself because some things just give me headaches. This scent is perfect. It isn't to heavy but it lasts and just smells amazing. If you haven't tested this out then you should! I wish you can smell it through the computer ;) lol. It is seriously the perfect combination of the ingredients it listed. So overall would I recommend this perfume? Can you say HELL YEAH! :) $44.50 actually isn't that bad compared to a lot of other perfumes. This would also make a perfect gift for the holidays with its cute red bottle! This was my favorite out of the Cosmo Voxbox!!

4. Venus: $3.50-$4.50 per month for blade refills
This box included two Venus blades since ANY Venus blade refill fits ANY Venus razor handle!

Gillette Venus Embrace
Venus Embrace blade refills provide an ultra-close shave with five blades that hug curves to get virtually every hair. Available in 4- and 8-count packages.

Venus & Olay Razor
Venus & Olay blade refills feature Olay Moisture Bars that contain skin conditioners to help lock in moisture and with every smoothing stroke, Venus' five blades provide an ultra-close shave. Available in 3-count packages.

My Review:
First off let me just say that I have not tried the Venus & Olay razor yet, but I will get to it!
Second, I honestly didn't know that any refill fits any handle haha! So that is good to know!!
Third, I only use Venus razors!
I wasn't excited about getting this in my box at first because I only use Venus. But once I started using it I realized how much better their actually razors are compared to their disposables (disposables are still amazing though). I started to get lazy when it came to purchasing razors because they are so darn expensive. Now that I know that I can use that handle for any blade though, I'll definitely start buying the refills again. I've tried other razors but always end up going back to Venus. I tend to cut myself with others or they just don't shave as good so I guess you can say I am a loyal Venus fan! I would recommend it to anyone! I am sure that all the different types of refills are amazing since they seem to take their product seriously! So overall I would recommend it and repurchase the refills!

Get Inspired :: DIY Christmas Tag

Hello there! So it's almost that time... Yes, Christmas!
Although it doesn't feel like it here in Arizona I have been trying to get into the spirit with some Christmas crafting. I love cute packaging, and although it can be a little to much for every gift you're giving, it's nice to make those extra special gifts a little more on the fancy side. So here is a DIY Christmas tag!

IMG_1717-002

Here are the supplies I'm using
IMG_1664-001
Grab some scrap white cardstock, any circle design stamp and label stamp, a circle punch that will fit the largest circle stamp (or you can old fashion hand-cut it), any printed vellum (this leopard print is from Hobby Lobby), embossing ink and powder (don't forget the heat gun), a stapler or mini attacher, a hole punch, a star punch or a different shape if you prefer, some colored ink, some coordinating bakers twine, a glue pen and pop dots.

1. Stamp the large background design, in the color of your choice, onto some white cardstock and punch or cut it out (I am using a Studio Calico stamp with some Prima ink in the color Rock Moss)
IMG_1670-002

IMG_1672-001

IMG_1674-001

2. Punch a hole at the top of the circle.
IMG_1683-001

3. Next take your lovely vellum and punch out three stars (or any other shape you like)!
IMG_1685-001

4. Take a glue pen and add a dab of glue to the stars and place them on the circle. You can skip this step if you like and staple them straight on (I'm not very coordinated for this lol)
IMG_1687-001

IMG_1689-001

5. Take the same white paper, embossing ink and powder and a circle label stamp and emboss away!
The stamp I used was from an old Pink Paislee stamp set. I used silver embossing powder from Michaels and distress embossing ink since it was all I had on hand, I would suggest a better one though.
IMG_1675-001

6. Cut out the image and ink up the edges with that same green ink if you like. Then place some pop dots on the back of the label and add it to the larger circle.

IMG_1692-001

7. Now add some twine to the tag and you are all set!!

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Sky High + Video

Hey there!! I have a bright layout to share with you today!
I used the Studio Calico November Kit and an addon :)
I did pull some of my own supplies for this layout, and here is what I picked!

IMG_1503-001
The washi tape, sequins, thread, spray, thickers and the orange and green letter stickers are all from my stash.

Here is the making process!

And here is a closer look at the finished layout!

IMG_1581-001
I have seen some layouts similar to this with the arrows going around the photo, and for this one I did get inspired by one of the guest designers over at Studio Calico. I love the way this layout turned out!

IMG_1573-001
IMG_1574-001
I have to say that these skinny white thickers are probably some of my favorites. I love how tall they are so you can still see the title loud and clear, yet they are so skinny that its easy to make a longer title with these if you have to! The October Afternoon letter stickers were perfect for adding my title. I knew I wanted some more color and these bad boys were perfect for that!

IMG_1562-001
I love adding a pop of color to the corner of layouts!

IMG_1566-001
IMG_1582-001
The arrows took some time. I had to stamp and cut out each one then sew each one on. I love the way it looks though and it adds so much to this page!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!!

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Kitty Love + Video!

Hello once again!
I have another layout to share with you!
This page was made from the Studio Calico November kit plus an addon!
Here are the supplies I pulled from those kits...

IMG_1526-001

Here is the making process!

And here is a closer look at the finished layout!

IMG_1540-002
I've never used this color combo before and I've never even worked with navy blue on a scrapbooking page. I love the way it turned out! This was one of the main reasons I  wanted to start recieving kits... I love the challenge of using something that I wouldn't have purchased on my own!

IMG_1560-001
It seems like printed vellum is making its way back into the scrapbooking world and I love working with it! It's great for layering and for pockets!

IMG_1557-001
One thing I was most excited about for this kit were these feather wood veneer pieces! I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with them but it didn't take long for them to find a spot on this layout, I love the way they look with glitter!!

IMG_1545-001
I struggled with the title on this one. I realized those glitter stickers were small enough to use with that cute Love ticket and figured I'll combine the two for my title :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Washington Layout :: On The Road + Video!

Back again with another Washington layout!
Here are the supplies I pulled for this layout!

IMG_1398-001
It seems to me I am having an arrow theme for this album lol. I know arrows are pretty popular in
the scrapbooking world at the moment and they sure did get me with them!
I love how something so simple like arrows and add more attention to certain areas on a layout!
And onto the making...
Here is a closer look at the finished page!
IMG_1409-001
I love using these large photos! These photos were taken from the car driving back to Seattle from my Aunts house. I was so pleased with the way they came out. A little tip is to take tons of photos of the same scene. This works out for me pretty well since I am a little picky and I've learned my lesson from snapping only one shot and having it turn out bad. :)
IMG_1425-001
Here is a closer look at the title! I love these thickers with the map print on them! Perfect for travel pages! These Thickers were the inspiration for this whole page! I love finiding inspiration in my supplies. I loved the hints of green they have on these letters and realized I had paint and ink that matched. I liked how the yellow looked with the green, it helped keep this whole page on the bright side!
IMG_1426-001
Yes I realize the photo is sticking up :( I fixed that though lol. I take my layouts outside to get better lighting for them and it was pretty hot, the sun lifted the corner, but thats ok it's an easy fix!
I love those little hexagon stickers. I bought them not knowing what I was going to do with them but they add a little something and are great for layering! I somewhat used this "click" stamp as my form of journaling. Since I didn't add pockets or a place to write I figured these photos and this stamp can do the talking. The photo of my grandma in the car reminds me of when I took these pictures and the stamp reminds me of how many I took LOL.
IMG_1420-001
And now onto the fun little cluster. (I know it looks like it says "his way" but it says "this way" I promise lol). So I really thought that I wouldn't use this badge because seeing it alone and knowing I haven't been to those places wasn't that appealing to me. Once I started to pull all the supplies for this layout I realized it wasn't as bad as I thought and actually loved the way it looks. It ties in nicely with the title of the page. Overall I love how this little cluster turned out. I am pleased with the colors for this page!
What was the last thing you scrapbooked about? Love to hear what you are working on!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great day :)

Hello again!
I have another Washington layout to share with you.
Here are the supplies I pulled for this layout!

And here is the video :)
I don't know why I had a hard time with this one lol! There was a lot I had to edit out of the video... a lot of sitting there thinking and a lot of mistake haha. Hope you enjoyed still!!
Here is a closer look of the layout.

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Jamine + Video!

Hello there! Back with another layout and vdeo share!
This layout is once again using the Studio Calico October Kit
(Roller Rink and the Rainbow Kneesocks addon)
Here are the supplies I pulled to use for this layout!

IMG_1446-001
I love this Love paper! I knew I wanted to keep this layout soft and pretty sinple and that Love paper was perfect for this layout!

Here is the video of the making!

And here is the finished page!

IMG_1462-001
I absolutely love using doilies on layouts! It gives off such a girly and delicate vibe!

IMG_1476-001
I love how tiny these letter stickers are! The sticker page came with two colors, gray and this light blue. I knew I wanted to use the blue ones as my title and this photo was perfect for that! I also love the tab stamps this kit came with and those little dots! Way to cute!! I cut out those heart tickets with my Cameo from a paper that came in the kit, and love the way they came out!

IMG_1473-001
These cute hearts were also cut from the Cameo. I used a paper in the kit that I would have never bought myself. It has paper airplanes on one side and little rockets on the other. I don't have kids so I would never go for a page like that. However, I did love the blue and figured if I cut something small from that page then you can't tell what is really on it! This is one reason why I wanted to start using kits. I love the challenge of using something that you would never buy on your own!

IMG_1465-001
Those little hearts are the extras left over from cutting the tickets out, they were to cute to not use on this layout! The stamped image was one of my own, I love to incorporate some of my own stamps and get good use out of them!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope I've inspired you!
Until next time!!
:)
