Jerome, Arizona

I recently took a trip to Jerome with my mom, step-dad and friend Kristen and have some photos to share :)
Jerome is one of my favorite places to visit here in Arizona. The little town is so old and has a ton of history behind it! If you're ever in the neighborhood I suggest checking it out!

I totally want to stay at this hotel! It used to be a hospital and it was one of the last buildings built in Jerome (1926). It's been on TV for its supposed hauntings. Some rooms are closed to the public and people claim to hear noises from those rooms. They have a guest book in their lobby and flipping through it you see a lot of people writing about cats... there are no cats in the building. Hmmmm...

This building that has no hope anymore used to be a jail cell I'm guessing. I've been inside this before but it's fenced now since it's about to collaspe. Written on the wall says "it was more fun in hell", not sure if that goes with the history or if it's newer, but I do know it's been there for years. I can imagine Hell being more fun, that bed doesn't look very comfy :p

That about sums it up with my million photos :)
Much more to see in this little place, including Ghost Town! Hope to visit you soon again Jerome!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have an awesome day!

LBD Layout Reveal :: Hello Country + Video!

Back again with the last Little Black Dress reveal!
This layout is simple but love it! Here is the process video for this page :)

And a closer look

IMG_2854-001
(Items not included in the kit: white cardstock, thickers, doily, printed arrows, jean thread, date stamp)
I've been wanting to scrap this photo for a while now. My dear mother laid on the ground for this one lol. The dark woodgrain and navy polka dots were perfect for this page, it just "felt right" ;)

IMG_2857-001
I was surprised how many letters come on the letter sticker sheet. I used a ton of these throughout my projects and still have a ton left! Great addition to the kit! This was my "journaling" for the page. I was living in Las Vegas for three years and it's a normal thing to wear heels I suppose. Moving back to a little town... not so much. I thought it would make a cute photo considering it's a little hard to walk around in heels with rocks everywhere :)

IMG_2860-001
I printed these little arrow/chevron... whatever you want to call them, from my computer. I made them in my Silhouette software a while ago and was excited to put them to use! I punched the little hearts from the same paper that's behind the photo and added a lovely wood piece!
IMG_2861-001
Love the jean thread!! So perfect for this page!! And... of course... more Thickers! I am obsessed with stitching and Thickers. I can't help it!
Thanks for stopping by!! Don't forget to check out the LBD blog for more projects with the April kit!
I am excited to see what May will bring! Stay tuned for the sneak peeks :)
Have a great day!

LBD Reveal :: Project Life & Mini Notebooks

Hello!! I'm excited to not only share another Little Black Dress project(s), but my very first Project Life layout also! I know I am totally behind on Project life considering this is the only page I have finished so far:(
I have been keeping track of everything since I don't print my photos myself. So I know I will eventually catch up soon! I am also not really doing the typical "Project Life" album. Not everything is in perfect order and I don't have full double spread PL pages. I am including my full 12x12 layouts in this album so I can have all my 2013 pictures together. Hoping I can fit it all into one album! So enough of me talking/typing and onto the page! This is titled "My Girls"... my three girl dogs of course. :)

IMG_2955-001
(Items not included in the kit: white cardstock, blue labels, thickers, date stamp, thread)
I did this entire page using just two papers and the adorable Freckled Fawn wood pieces! Love the grey and yellow together. And I warned you about going crazy with hearts this month! This page came together so quickly. I think the colors just inspired me on their own and I loved working with smaller "pages"

IMG_2927-001
Love this paper! It is called Hopeful from the Amy Tangerine "Yes Please" line. One of my favorites!

IMG_2935-001
These hearts were cut right from the yellow paper which is called Wild Hearts by the Dear Lizzy "Lucky Charm" line. I love it when you can use a full sheet on its own but also cut little elements from the page to make your own embellishments. I just stitched these on with my sewing machine (the uneven stitch was totally a mistake, but it's all good, adds character right?)

IMG_2930-001
I know this is totally simple but I loved how these looked in the little 3x4 slot. Great for a filler yet adds a totally cute embellishment to the page. I was so excited to see these in the kit!!

IMG_2922-002
Once again a really simple one. Just went crazy with my $1 heart punch and the cute papers. Just punched a bunch out and laid them out in a cute pattern! I thought about stitching them down but I loved the way they already looked and didn't want to take the chance of not liking it as much.

IMG_2920-001
And last for this page is a little mini notebook! I still need to write some things down in this little thing. So simple to make and adds a cute touch with lots of journaling room! I printed this label out and once again added a little heart to it! love!
So that wraps up the Project Life page. But I wanted to also share two other mini books I made using the LBD April kit!

After making the little book for my PL page I wanted to make more! Although I don't have use for them yet I know I will have some ready to add to a page when needed! Here are the covers of the little books.

IMG_2836-001
(Items not included in the kit: white cardstock, clothes pins, wood veneer heart, pink twine)
Adorable right! The yellow is probably my favorite :) Love that woodgrain!!

IMG_2846-001

IMG_2830-001
And a look at the inside! I used the letter stickers from the kit to add a little something to the inside on the pages. Love how they turned out and this is a great way to use up any scraps you have!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will have one more post using this kit with a video! :)
Have a great day!!

Hello again! Today I will share my second Little Black Dress Kit Club design team project!
I love the bright colors in this layout!!

IMG_2871-001
(Items not included in the kit: white background, mister huey's, thickers, date stamp, ink, pink thread)
The arrows on the top and bottom are from a branding strip.. way to cute to not use!!
IMG_2877-001
I just love the grey, yellow and pink together! The "love you more" is from a branding strip also, I love those things! They add a cute little detail to any page!

IMG_2885-001
First I have to say... just look at that Essie collection!! The biggest one I've seen yet that I had to snap a photo of it :) I love these cute wood pieces from Freckled Fawn! They add some dimension to the page without being to bulky.

IMG_2886-001
And another closeup of the layers! You all know I have to add stitching to my pages any way I can ;)
Thanks again for stopping by, and don't forget to check out project the other team members are make on the Little Black Dress Kit Club blog!

LBD Page Reveal & Video :: 24

Hey everyone! I am excited to share my first page reveal for Little Black Dress Kit Club using the April kit called Don't Worry Be Happy!
I thought about sharing all of my projects in one post buuuut I decided it would be best to spread them out through the month :) hope that's ok with you hehe!
I made two videos using this kit and so I will share one with you today! This layout is titled "24" here is the process video for this page!

About time I made a layout from turning 24!! I will be 25 next month already. Shows that I don't scrapbook in order but I enjoy it more that way! This kit was perfect for a page like this. The bright colorful Glitz products were fun to use for a birthday layout but don't worry, you get more use from this kit other than birthday pages! You can go check out what the other ladies are making with this kit on the LBD site!
Here is a closer look at this layout.

IMG_2891-001
(Items not included in the kit: white background, mister huey's, thickers, enamel dots, yellow thread)

IMG_2895-001
I've never seen these cute cards and pockets packs from Pebbles. And yes, you get a whole pack in this kit! For some reason I tend to look past pebble items but these are adorable! This is why I love scrapbooking kits, they always include items you never come by or would never purchase for yourself and it pushes you to do something new with your pages! Not to mention these fit perfectly in the 4x6 Project Life pockets. Just an idea! ;)

IMG_2900-001
For some reason this kit motivated me to use the heck out of my $1 Recollections heart punch! You will catch on once you see the rest of my projects! I wanted to add a little something to the page and the Glitz polka dot paper was perfect for this! I punched one heart from a row of dots and lined them up in the same order as they were on the paper. So much color in such a little detail!

IMG_2897-001
And last, let's talk about this cute garland! I cut mine apart and used just one second which was perfect to add to the corner of my page. I added pop dots under some of the pieces and let others just lay there flat. I wanted a more natural look with this garland. It's adorable!!

So that wraps up the first reveal! Stay tuned for more projects from this months LBD kit and again, check out the blog on their site for more inspiration with this kit!
Thanks for stopping by!!
