A couple frames I made. The base was only a dollar at Michaels. I used paper, and LOTS of Prima and Glimmer Mist.

  1. So I really liked the blue one at first for the color, but I think the white/pink/green one works a lot better.

You already know my gripe about the balance on the blue one, but I think the white one works well because of that bright green butterfly in the upper left. It helps balance out the weight of the design.

Overall the designs are great, I like the layering and the key is a nice touch. It seems like there's a lot of hidden meaning in these, whether you intended on that or not.. So... well done.

I still don't like the white frilly stuff on the bottom right though. I know you intended on it being unbalanced in size, but the fact that it's the only border hanging off and isn't repeated anywhere else draws my eye right there first, especially on the blue one. Might not have been bad to put a smaller strip up top, maybe not sticking out as far, but still there.

In any case.. pretty good for a rookie :p

  2. I love these, i love making frames out of chipboard using Tim Holtz Dies, but this just gave me some inspiration to use the wooden frames. I am going to give this a try. Awesome!
