Christmas Countdown Prep

Hi everyone!! Thought I would do a quick post showing you what I pulled for my Christmas Countdown mini! First I grabbed the oh so lovely Christmas Countdown Kit that Carrie Elias put together, went through my stash of Christmas embellishments or anything that screams Christmas and threw it all in a pretty pile! 

Here is what I pulled together!

Love all the colors!

What would Christmas be without glitter?? So happy these glitter tags came in the kit. I grabbed some stars from my stash and some number stamps.

I have a confession... I have a good amount of washi tape and I never seem to use them. I think I will challenge myself to use some up in this mini!

And my favorite part... the embellishments! Ones from the kit, from my stash and flair buttons that I got last year from JC Penny :)

Las Vegas

Hello hello!

Today I'm sharing a somewhat double page spread I made using the Scraptastic kit called Colorblind and add on. I went to Las Vegas in August with some family and took a *few* photos that I knew I wanted to scrap! At first I wasn't sure how I wanted to put these together. I was thinking of two 12x12 pages with an insert in the middle, then I was thinking a mini album but I knew I wanted them in my 2013 12x12 album. Then I thought I would just make 4 layouts and then changed my mind again haha.

I finally decided on making a layout with 4 photos to go on the left, and a 12x12 collage to go on the right. I changed the photos to black and white so they look better and I'm not having to fuss with matching products to the harsh Vegas lighting. 

Here is what I came up with:

Making the collage in Picasa 3 can be a little tricky. I had to remove or add photos otherwise some of them double up just so the collage is even looking. I'm happy with the way it turned out though. The 12x12 was on sale for only $2 from Persnicketyprints.com and I ordered the others in 3x4 sizes.

I love these Glitz papers! Glad they came in the kit too because now I'll be able to use any left overs in my Christmas Countdown album! 

I used a little diecut from a previous kit and a little arrow clip from my stash 

Another little sticker and it's done!

Christmas Countdown 2013

Hi everyone!!

I'm soooo excited to be making my very first December Daily this year!

There are tons of cute kits out this year but I was asked to make some custom frame embellishments for a Christmas Countdown kit that was put together by Carrie Elias. She made lots of custom files that are adorable and I love all the colors shes used for the kit.

OOTD Layout

Hi everyone!
Today I have a layout to share using the Scraptastic kit, Never Tear Us Apart and add-on.
These kits are full of warm colors that are perfect for scrapbooking those fall photos!
Here's my page :)

I knew I wanted to cut up that chevron paper and I love how it looks like it's going into the photo!

I backed my white background paper onto some brown card stock from the kit for a little more color. I added some brown/gold mist to the background, it's a Maya Road mist, not sure if they are available anymore but it's the first time I've used it and I LOVE the gold shimmer after it dries!

I love getting Thickers in kits, you can never have to many!! Oh and OOTD stands for Outfit Of The Day :)

I cut out a camera from one of the patterned papers, added the adorable wood veneer piece, some enamel dots and a butterfly sticker from my stash. Since I offset the background paper I went ahead and added the arrow paperclip to the top right above the cute flair badge!

I love cut apart sheets, I went ahead and cut out a couple of tags, added the today sticker, and enamel dot and another butterfly sticker from my stash.

Hi everyone! I recently shared a challenge over on the Scraptastic blog and wanted to share it here!

The October kit is full of warm fall colors and adorable embellishments, they also have a Halloween kit and add-on for those that are interested :)

Here's the layout!

So my challenge was to use a large photo! 

I normally like to scrap smaller pictures, but a large one is fun to work with once in a while.

Sharing another layout from the fabulous September Scraptastic Club kit, Everybody Talks and add-on. 

Loving all the pinks in this kit!!

That floral paper is pretty darn close to my phone cover so of course I had to use this picture! I layered three patterned papers to the left side of the page and totally love how they look together!!

I added some lace over a piece of pink paper that came in the kit. Added some doilies behind an ephemera pack die-cut, used some chipboard hearts from my own stash, some enamel dots from the kit, cut a little camera from one of the papers and added a die-cut bow on top! Love these large letter stickers that came in the kit :)

Added some random stitching to the page and a pre-made layered embellishment from the kit!

Back again with a double spread page and two videos!

Again, I already shared this on the Scraptastic Club blog, but I wanted to share it here too!

Take a closer look

I wanted to add the photo of the vintage camera I used to take the main picture. I made a short post about this here. 

These fabric frames are awesome and that LOVE frame from the ephemera pack is sooooo cute!

I love making little clusters like these :)

And onto the divide side. 

This doily stamp is so cute! I went ahead and gave this side of the page a mini title since these photos were taken with a different camera. Grabbed a little pink vellum envelope from my stash and add the cute glitter button that came in the kit. 

I love the look of little shaker cards. 

These plastic frames are actually real slide frames. My mom has been going through some of my late grandpas slides and was getting rid of the ones she didn't want. I went ahead and grabbed them to use as embellishments. There are a lot of slide frame products out there but I thought it would be fun to add real ones!
