Layout :: Hey

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to share with you that is made with about 99.9% Crate Paper products! The Crate Paper blog recently had a challenge using polka dots which I thought would be fun. Although I didn't win or make it into the runner up section I still had fun with the challenge and got to use up some old papers I've been hoarding :)

I used new and old Crate Paper products and love that their collections all go together! The only non Crate Paper items are the little pearls and the thread of course.

Love those little bows and the cut apart sheets are awesome! So many pieces to use!!

Sunshine + Video

Hello there! I finally filmed again! Seems like forever... 3 weeks is forever when it comes to videos right!?

I was totally thinking of the layout that snapping a photo of the supplies crossed my mind but here is the making process... enjoy!

And a closer look at the final page!

I so can't wait for the warm weather again!!

I haven't used a mask in forever so I was glad that the Studio Calico kit came with one. It took me a while to figure out that to do with this piece and cutting it up worked out pretty good :) I also love the tiny heart stamp I decided to add, and those ombre Thickers!! So lovely!

I finally cut into that grey paper from an older kit and love using it in small pieces!

It also feels like its been forever since I've used rubons, those Amy Tangerine ones are so cute and the sun was perfect for this page! I also love the arrow stamp, it's exclusive to 2Peas and made by Studio Calico and Hero Arts. 

Love this camera paper from Amy Tan and that little arrowhead stamp is from the same set listed above.

Layout :: Just Keep Smiling + Video!

Hello hello!!

Glad to be sharing a layout with you today! I was so very close to losing all the footage from recording, but thank goodness I figured it out after several tries :)

This is probably my favorite part of the layout. I normally layer everything or have my title on something other than the background paper but I do love how this turned out!

I love that little camera brad! Sooo cute!! And the little cabochon flowers are handmade by me! So fun to make! (take forever though)

Love the little banner too! I know the products were from an older Dear Lizzy line, but I'm sure it's safe to say I'm probably not the only on who was hoarding some of these adorable products! lol

Annnnnd the date, because I made it a great habit to add the date to every layout I make now. :)

Hello hello!

I am bringing you another Christmas layout today!

Here are the supplies I pulled for this page

 Although I ended up changing some of the things I pulled I still like sharing a photo with you of my original thought process and kind of where I was going with this layout :)

So in love with the leopard print and Christmas combo!! And those Thickers are great for a Holiday layout! (purchased from Hobby Lobby)

Also love this POW glitter paper! It is thin enough to use with punches and it doesn't shed! I received it in a Studio Calico kit  but would love to buy more!!

Anything can look better with a tag ;).... well almost anything hehe! I love the bakers twine! It's by Martha Stewart and I've had it forever, perfect for Christmas!

Can you tell I'm addicted to sewing on paper? :)

And another photo of the sparkly snowflake because... who doesn't love a glittered up snowflake?? :)

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Reflection + Video

Christmas layout!!

I know some people like scrapbooking previous Christmas photos around the holidays, but not me. I love making my layouts as soon as I can that way I will actually scrap them and not keep holding it off. 

So that being said, here is my first Christmas layout I am bring you! I don't have a ton this year so it won't be an overkill I hope lol.

Let me just say... I LOVE the leopard print and Christmas mix! I think it's so cool to bring something in that is totally none traditional!

This red arrow I got from a Studio Calico kit worked perfectly for this page. And I loooove that stamp!!

Choosing which stickers for the date was a pain in the booty! At first I had some Crate stickers from the Christmas line, and realized they didn't have numbers. So I tried for some October Afternoon stickers that were the same color (aqua) and I didn't like introducing that color to this layout. So then I went to some green OA letter sickers but it was a darker green than  the star paper I used. Then it hit me! The new Studio Calico kit came with these cute little red alpha and number stickers by Basic Grey. They were the perfect match!

I am obsessed with putting glitter on wood veneer :)

Hope you enjoyed! I normally have a plan for a layout... well kind of but this one I really didn't have a clue as to what I wanted to do. I am happy with the way it turned out though!!

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Happy You + Video

Hello hello! It feels like it's been forever since I made a layout!

Soooo that's what I'm bringing you today!

I used the November Studio Calico kit with a few items from the October kit!

I love the white background paper! This was my first time using an embossed paper like this so I wanted to keep it on the simple side. I love the way  the glitter stars came out and they match perfectly with that piece of glitter paper I used! Here is a closer look at the finished layout!

Keeping Track of 2012 :: Sky High + Video

Hey there!! I have a bright layout to share with you today!

I used the Studio Calico November Kit and an addon :)

I did pull some of my own supplies for this layout, and here is what I picked!



The washi tape, sequins, thread, spray, thickers and the orange and green letter stickers are all from my stash.

I have seen some layouts similar to this with the arrows going around the photo, and for this one I did get inspired by one of the guest designers over at Studio Calico. I love the way this layout turned out!

 

 

I have to say that these skinny white thickers are probably some of my favorites. I love how tall they are so you can still see the title loud and clear, yet they are so skinny that its easy to make a longer title with these if you have to! The October Afternoon letter stickers were perfect for adding my title. I knew I wanted some more color and these bad boys were perfect for that!

 

 

I love adding a pop of color to the corner of layouts!

 

 

The arrows took some time. I had to stamp and cut out each one then sew each one on. I love the way it looks though and it adds so much to this page!

Hello once again!

I have another layout to share with you!

This page was made from the Studio Calico November kit plus an addon!

I've never used this color combo before and I've never even worked with navy blue on a scrapbooking page. I love the way it turned out! This was one of the main reasons I  wanted to start recieving kits... I love the challenge of using something that I wouldn't have purchased on my own!

 

 

It seems like printed vellum is making its way back into the scrapbooking world and I love working with it! It's great for layering and for pockets!

 

 

One thing I was most excited about for this kit were these feather wood veneer pieces! I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with them but it didn't take long for them to find a spot on this layout, I love the way they look with glitter!!

 

 

I struggled with the title on this one. I realized those glitter stickers were small enough to use with that cute Love ticket and figured I'll combine the two for my title :)
