Today I have another page to share using the June Little Black Dress kit!
And a video!
Here is a process video
And a closer look!
So since this photo is take of all the NYX nail polish I own I thought it might be cool to actually use the polish on the layout! I love that way it turned out! The colors stayed nice and bright on the lovely black background paper and now I might have to use nail polish on my layouts more often ;)
I love how it didn't soak in!
I added some orange, yellow and green thread for an added "embellishment" and added a few of the periods from the gold Thicker set that came in the kit.
Love these Thickers!!! And although the chevron paper didn't come in the kit, I wanted to incorporate it since it was the background in the photo.
Don't forget to check out the LBD Blog for more inspiration using this kit!
Thanks for stopping by!
So this months Little Black Dress Kit Club kit had some lovely black and white papers with a few brights for some pop of color and... um... my favorite.. Thickers! Totally in love!
The June kit is called Just My Luck!
I have a few more layouts to share with you so stay posted!
Today I have a sort of monochromatic layout to share with you!
Here is the process of the layout!
And a closer look ;)
My original idea for this layout was to use some crepe paper behind the photos but I was feeling that so much. Much happier using the paper and vellum :)
I love the dimension of the wood pieces, I got these butterflies from Michaels and they are made by Recollections. And I don't think I'll ever get tired of my Martha Stewart butterfly punches!
I love this cute printable from the Silhouette store!
These BasicGrey stickers are perfect for adding small dates and titles :)
Hello hello! Yes it is totally May and I decided to do a Fall layout... I couldn't help it!
When I opened the Miss Maggie LBD kit I totally fell in love with the reds and of course it made me think about the Fall photos I still have to scrap. Here is a process video! And I apologize, some footage was corrupted, I tried everything I can to fix it, but nothing worked.
And a closer look at this page!
This one was so fun to make! I was finally able to use the leaves cut files I have for my Silhouette and I love all the different patterned reds and that red vellum polka dot paper!!
Sometimes a page just isn't complete without glitter ;)
This page is sort of a two page spread, it will be to the left of a Project Life spread that I will share with you tomorrow. But for now lets check out the 12x12 page!
I had to scrap this photo of my first resin piece I made! I love the way the pinks and blue go so perfectly! I busted out some old Glimmer Mist and Distress Ink and got busy!
Seriously love those fabric frames and love layering with them!
And the clips! Crazy about those!
I cut the title from one of the papers that came in the kit, stitched them on and love how they turned out!
I will be back with the Project Life part of this page!
Don't forget to check out the LBDblog for more projects and inspiration with the Miss Maggie kit!
So I've been wanting to stick these photos to some paper for the longest time now. I'm so glad to have finally scrapped them and I love the way it turned out! As you saw in the beginning of the video I showed a small stamp set and the paper I cut into strips, I stamped each letter... one by one... with some lyrics from the song "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. When I lived in Las Vegas my friend Kristen and I loved to just cruise up and down the strip and act like children. I wanted to capture those moments in this layout by adding those lyrics, we would laugh at the song in the beginning and then started to sing it any time it came on. Just a little info behind this page and the reason for the lyrics :)
I just love that chevron paper and cloud paper that came in the kit! I only have a tiny piece of the cloud one left and it is not going to waste!
Don't forget to check out what the other LBD members have made with their kit and I will be back shortly with more!
Today I am sharing the first page I made with the Miss Maggie LBD kit.
Let's check out the making process :)
And a closer look!
I totally love those Crate Paper frames that came in the kit, once I looked through them I knew right away which photo I wanted to use. Check out that stare!
I decided to put some old stamps to use on this page, although those circles were in seasonal sets they still worked perfectly for the page! I always look though each stamp set even if they are Halloween or Christmas, you never know what you'll bump into!
So when I first saw these clips online I didn't think it would ever be something I'm interested in. They look like bobby pins and I would have never thought to add them on a page. I am so so so glad they came in this kit though! They are to adorable and add a cute detail! This is, once again, a reason why I love kits. They make you think outside of the box and it challenges you to use product you wouldn't purchase on your own!
Another old stamp I've had for years yet have never used... ever. It was so perfect for this page!
I just love the details on these frames!! Already embellished and stitched for you! I added a cute wood button that came in the kit and called it a day!
Come back to see more pages from the LBD Miss Maggie kit!
This layout is simple but love it! Here is the process video for this page :)
And a closer look
(Items not included in the kit: white cardstock, thickers, doily, printed arrows, jean thread, date stamp)
I've been wanting to scrap this photo for a while now. My dear mother laid on the ground for this one lol. The dark woodgrain and navy polka dots were perfect for this page, it just "felt right" ;)
I was surprised how many letters come on the letter sticker sheet. I used a ton of these throughout my projects and still have a ton left! Great addition to the kit! This was my "journaling" for the page. I was living in Las Vegas for three years and it's a normal thing to wear heels I suppose. Moving back to a little town... not so much. I thought it would make a cute photo considering it's a little hard to walk around in heels with rocks everywhere :)
I printed these little arrow/chevron... whatever you want to call them, from my computer. I made them in my Silhouette software a while ago and was excited to put them to use! I punched the little hearts from the same paper that's behind the photo and added a lovely wood piece!
Love the jean thread!! So perfect for this page!! And... of course... more Thickers! I am obsessed with stitching and Thickers. I can't help it!
Thanks for stopping by!! Don't forget to check out the LBD blog for more projects with the April kit!
I am excited to see what May will bring! Stay tuned for the sneak peeks :)
Have a great day!
(Items not included in the kit: white background, mister huey's, thickers, date stamp, ink, pink thread)
The arrows on the top and bottom are from a branding strip.. way to cute to not use!!
I just love the grey, yellow and pink together! The "love you more" is from a branding strip also, I love those things! They add a cute little detail to any page!
First I have to say... just look at that Essie collection!! The biggest one I've seen yet that I had to snap a photo of it :) I love these cute wood pieces from Freckled Fawn! They add some dimension to the page without being to bulky.
And another closeup of the layers! You all know I have to add stitching to my pages any way I can ;)
Thanks again for stopping by, and don't forget to check out project the other team members are make on the Little Black Dress Kit Club blog!
Hey everyone! I am excited to share my first page reveal for Little Black Dress Kit Club using the April kit called Don't Worry Be Happy!
I thought about sharing all of my projects in one post buuuut I decided it would be best to spread them out through the month :) hope that's ok with you hehe!
I made two videos using this kit and so I will share one with you today! This layout is titled "24" here is the process video for this page!
About time I made a layout from turning 24!! I will be 25 next month already. Shows that I don't scrapbook in order but I enjoy it more that way! This kit was perfect for a page like this. The bright colorful Glitz products were fun to use for a birthday layout but don't worry, you get more use from this kit other than birthday pages! You can go check out what the other ladies are making with this kit on the LBD site!
Here is a closer look at this layout.
(Items not included in the kit: white background, mister huey's, thickers, enamel dots, yellow thread)
I've never seen these cute cards and pockets packs from Pebbles. And yes, you get a whole pack in this kit! For some reason I tend to look past pebble items but these are adorable! This is why I love scrapbooking kits, they always include items you never come by or would never purchase for yourself and it pushes you to do something new with your pages! Not to mention these fit perfectly in the 4x6 Project Life pockets. Just an idea! ;)
For some reason this kit motivated me to use the heck out of my $1 Recollections heart punch! You will catch on once you see the rest of my projects! I wanted to add a little something to the page and the Glitz polka dot paper was perfect for this! I punched one heart from a row of dots and lined them up in the same order as they were on the paper. So much color in such a little detail!
And last, let's talk about this cute garland! I cut mine apart and used just one second which was perfect to add to the corner of my page. I added pop dots under some of the pieces and let others just lay there flat. I wanted a more natural look with this garland. It's adorable!!
So that wraps up the first reveal! Stay tuned for more projects from this months LBD kit and again, check out the blog on their site for more inspiration with this kit!
And here is the process video. This one was probably the fastest layout I've made so far!
And a closer look ;)
So simple but love it! Those arrowheads and that cute tag were custom made and printed. I'm going a little crazy with making anything cute and printing it out!
Arizona has some pretty great sunsets!! I love seeing everyone post their view on Instagram and Facebook. Crazy how different it looks depending on the area you live in. Allison Waken also used an Arizona sunset photo and that's probably why I fell so in love with her page.
I found this cut file online... and I tried looking again to link you to it but I can't find it! I promise I'll look again and post the link if I get lucky! And that tiny little heart stamp is adorable from Maya Road!
Here is the tag I printed. Looks like stamped images right! And those little puffy stickers from Amy Tangerine are always a great addition when you need a little something to add.
Hello there! I finally filmed again! Seems like forever... 3 weeks is forever when it comes to videos right!?
I was totally thinking of the layout that snapping a photo of the supplies crossed my mind but here is the making process... enjoy!
And a closer look at the final page!
I so can't wait for the warm weather again!!
I haven't used a mask in forever so I was glad that the Studio Calico kit came with one. It took me a while to figure out that to do with this piece and cutting it up worked out pretty good :) I also love the tiny heart stamp I decided to add, and those ombre Thickers!! So lovely!
I finally cut into that grey paper from an older kit and love using it in small pieces!
It also feels like its been forever since I've used rubons, those Amy Tangerine ones are so cute and the sun was perfect for this page! I also love the arrow stamp, it's exclusive to 2Peas and made by Studio Calico and Hero Arts.
Love this camera paper from Amy Tan and that little arrowhead stamp is from the same set listed above.
